CSIRO has contracted Conference Connections to administer the 2012 Conference.

Protecting your privacy is important to Conference Connections. We strive to keep your personal information confidential. Please take a moment to read our privacy policy to learn how we handle your personal information.

Why we collect personal information
We collect and use your personal information to give you superior customer service.
We will be collecting your personal information to enable us to plan and organise the FIESTA 2012 conference.  Your personal information will be used to register you for the Conference and to ensure that you are able to fully participate in the FIESTA 2012 Conference.

If you are submitting a poster abstract, your name, organisation, current position and biographical statement may be included in FIESTA 2012 conference publications and related promotional material.

How we collect personal information
We collect information about you in several ways. For example, we may ask for your contact information when you ask for information about a conference or event we are organising, when you ask to be included in an email mailing list, or if you register with us to attend a conference or event. We collect and store the information you provide in a secure database.

Who we may disclose your personal information to
It is the policy of Conference Connections to treat all information responsibly.  We will disclose some or all of your personal information to CSIRO as required.  Hence CSIRO may contact you, particularly if you are a speaker.

 Conference Connections is not responsible for the privacy practices of it’s clients and will therefore not accept any responsibility for use of the personal information by clients under any circumstances whatsoever.

At times we may be required by law or legal process to disclose your personal information.

If you are submitting a poster abstract, your personal information will be disclosed to the FIESTA 2012 organising committee and CSIRO.

How we protect your personal information
Conference Connections safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic and managerial procedures. We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often, use a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure browser.

Collecting other personal information
When you browse our website, you are able to do so anonymously. Generally, we don't collect personal information when you browse - not even your email address. Your browser, however, does automatically tell us the type of computer and operating system you are using.

Like many websites, the Conference Connections website may use "cookie" technology. When you first connect to our site, the cookie identifies your browser with a unique, random number.
